About Us

Industrial Seminars has been awarding Training Credit Hours (TCH) since 1994. The TCH’s earned at our seminars have been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (Wastewater Department).

The company was founded by Paul Swydan. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Lowell Technological Institute. Paul also has a Mass DEP Grade 4 WWT license and has worked many years in the wastewater treatment industry as project engineer in the construction and operation of Wastewater Treatment plants.

In the beginning we were known as Water Service Company. We began sponsoring seminars at the Ramada Inn located in Woburn, Massachusetts. We expanded our locations to Framingham, Mass and Springfield, Mass. In 1997, the name of the company was changed to Industrial Seminars and in 2005 to the present we moved to the Courtyard Marriott in Westboro, Mass.

By 2015, the DEP announced that earning 10 TCH’s from “Safety” seminars must be combined with 10 TCH’s from “Technical” seminars to earn 20 TCH’s for each two-year period to maintain a Massachusetts WWT license.

These days our Safety courses will be offered as a Correspondence Seminar along with our Technical Seminars.

We want to thank everyone that has attended our seminars and will continue to attend. We look forward to the future of Industrial Seminars serving Wastewater Treatment Operators.
